Here we have 3 1968 Fender 2-15 drip edge cabinets.

2 are Fender Bassman 2-15'' cabinets. Both are fully original with 2 different looks.

1 is a larger is a Fender Showman 2-15" Dual Showman cabinet that has had the grillcloth professionally replaced to black.

All 3 are in about the same cosmetic condition as far as the tolex goes.

All 3 came from a vintage bass player collector's estate we purchased a while back.

All 3 are empty and come with all the back panel mounting screws.

1968 Fender Showman-Dual Showman 2-15" cabinet: empty 2x15" cabinet weighs approximately 50 to 55 lbs (22.6 to 24.9 kg).

A 1968 "drip-edge" Silverface model features the iconic, oversized vertical layout:

• Height: 45.5 inches (115.6 cm)

• Impedance: Originally wired for 4 ohms total load (using two 8-ohm drivers wired in parallel).
• Cabinet Type: Sealed/Closed-back design.

Materials & Hardware:

• Wood Construction: 3/4-inch pine baffle board with void-free plywood exterior walls.
• Exterior Covering: Heavy-duty Black Tolex.
• Grille Cloth: Silver-turquoise or blue sparkle cloth featuring an aluminum trim border (the hallmark of 1968 "drip-edge" styling).
• Cabinet Features: Dual side-mounted strap handles, bottom chrome glides (feet), and built-in side mount tracks for 16-inch tilt-back legs.

Gordy's Music has become a Detroit institution! Our shop was used as a filming location for a few films like "Miracle in Motor City" a Christmas movie on Lifetime (featuring Smoky Robinson). We've supplied gear for movies including "Bill & Ted Face The Music" with Keanu Reeves. We've got decades of celebrity customers, including recent visits from Beck, Eric Johnson, and we recently sold Billy Joel's bassist a cool Gibson SG he is in love with. One day a while back Andre 3000 and his group stopped in to browse as they were playing Masonic Temple that night and right after that we sold an old oil can Morley Wah Vibrato pedal to Credence Clearwater Revival's thee John Fogerty!
