I have 2
Burl Audio BAD4 four-channel analog-to-digital converter daughter card for the B80 and B16 Mothership, in [excellent / like new] condition.
Four channels of conversion up to 24-bit/192 kHz built on the exact same class-A discrete transistor circuit path as the B2 Bomber ADC — Burl's best-known converter — in daughter card form. Zero capacitors in the circuit path, a feedback-free design, and the high-definition BX1 input transformer. Vintage KingVintage King
The BX1 is the whole point. Run it conservatively and you get a clean, crisp, high-end digital sound; push the meters into the red and the input transformers deliver real saturation and color. That's a tonal decision you make with the gain knob instead of a plug-in, and it's why people put BAD4s in front of drums, bass and electric guitars specifically.
Pairs beautifully with a BDA4 or BDA4M on the output side — running a mix out through BX5 output transformers and back in through the BX1 is the modern answer to printing through a two-track tape machine, without the hiss and with far more headroom.
Requires a Burl B80 or B16 Mothership chassis
