I'm the original owner of this 2024 NAMM Custom Catch event guitar, and it is in mint condition. Taylor told me that they only made 9 of these guitars which cost $8,999 new.

The voice of this guitar has opened up and it sounds terrific. Bocote reminds me of a cross between rosewood and ebony, with great resonance and projection while retaining piano-like trebles and note separation. Beautiful Bearclaw Sitka top.

This custom Grand Auditorium is a showcase for the remarkable visual character of its bocote back and sides, complemented with a striking Bearclaw Sitka spruce top. This combination yields a balanced, clear response with pristine highs and rich midrange presence. Paua shell headlines the appointment package for this build, showcased with intricate Sea Forest Vine fretboard and peghead inlays in gorgeous blue paua and Hawaiian koa, a paua single-ring rosette, and paua edge trim. The beveled armrest, back strip, backstrap, heel cap, and soundhole and body binding are made with figured Hawaiian koa. Other appointments include bone bridge pins with green abalone dots, gold tuning machines featuring ebony buttons with koa inlays, and black/white purfling for the back, sides and rosette. This model sports a subtle aged toner top color treatment, a hand-sprayed edgeburst for the sides and neck, and an edgeburst with window pane shading for the back. It ships with ES2 electronics, TaylorSense and a brown deluxe hardshell case.
