About this drum: This 7x14 Solid Steam-bent Maple snare was a collaborative build by two of the best drum-makers in North America. It is in absolute MINT as-new condition. Micah Doering at Cask Craft USA builds these shells by hand with premium exotic woods. This shell is Fiddleback Maple with a center segment of Birdseye Maple. I asked Ronn Dunnett from Dunnett Classic Drums if he could provide all the metal fittings for this build, and he obliged. I added Gauger Percussion Lockerz Rod-Locks to keep the tension rods from backing out on rimshots. This drum is flawless in every way. Sonically, it’s wonderfully warm and rich, with a very broad tuning range. Similar builds from other solid shell makers would be in the $1500 to $2500 range.
