About this listing
Schecter John Browne Tao-7 in Ozone Burst
The John Browne Tao-7 is a premium extended-range instrument engineered for technical metal and modern progressive playing. Its ultra-thin neck profile and contoured body deliver exceptional comfort during extended sessions, while the 27" scale accommodates lower tunings with tight string tension and articulate response across all seven strings.
Playability & Feel
The ultra-thin "U" neck with carbon fiber reinforcement combines speed and stability, measuring 19mm at the first fret and 20mm at the 12th. 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets paired with a 16" radius ebony fretboard and Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut create a fast, responsive playing surface with excellent string definition and minimal dead spots.
Tone & Electronics
The pickup configuration pairs a Schecter USA Colossus-7 neck pickup with the aggressive ChaosBreaker-7 bridge humbucker, delivering everything from thick, articulate cleans to saturated high-gain tones. A master volume with push-pull coil-split and 3-way selector switch provide tonal flexibility without complexity, while Hipshot Grip-Lock tuners and a Hipshot hardtail bridge ensure tuning stability and direct string-to-body energy transfer.
