Quint Mandolin is made by Master Luthier Qin Ji Duo from China, who learned instrument making at several manufacturers, then worked on the founding of North Field Mandolin before becoming independent. This is a QT-A5 in sunburst color. It features a carved Italian spruce top, carved figured Swiss maple back, Swiss maple neck, premium ebony radius fingerboard, medium-sized frets, Goto tuners, ivoroid binding, ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and black pickguard. It's a Style-A with a 15-fret joint, similar to the F-type, and offers excellent playability even in the high positions. The radius fingerboard with medium frets and a short fingerboard end with a scooped section from the 20th fret provides outstanding playability. You can also feel the high level of craftsmanship and good taste in every detail, such as the beautiful arch of the top and the excellent finish. It is a wonderful flat mandolin that combines the beautiful, lustrous sound of plain strings with the powerful, resonant sound of wound strings. This level of finish and quality at this price is practically unheard of elsewhere.
