This 2001 Gibson Thunderbird IV plays and sounds great! The neck has a comfortably slim "C" shape profile and the pickups provide a very powerful low end. The classic white finish has started to age very nicely from over time!
This bass does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, chips, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. It appears that a previous owner tried to fill in the more significant scratches with a white paint. The classic white finish has otherwise aged very nicely from over time and also shows some checking throughout. The frets still have plenty of life and the guitar plays great overall. All of the electronics work as they should.
This bass comes freshly set up with D'addario EXL170 (45-100) strings. The tuners were swapped for Grovers at some point, and the nut is a later replacement. This bass is otherwise original.
