Low-noise, low-microphonics version of 12AX7/ECC83
This is a very nice tube with black plates and halo getter that has been selected for use in the U.S. military. 5751W1's have a longer life, reinforced mechanical ruggedness, and increased shock/vibration resistance than standard 5751's. They are also selected for lower-noise and lower microphonics.
These tubes sound fantastic in old Fender and other guitar amps.
Thoroughly tested on calibrated Hickok 533A tube tester with 1,175/1,250 μMhos, where 1,250/1,250 μMhos = 100% Gm. Note that 5751's always test a little lower than 12AX7/ECC83's since the gain factor is a little lower.
This tube appears to be new and unused (NOS). I am not 100% sure, but I believe so. The box is not original.
