When Steve Vai joined Ibanez in 1987, he did not realize the lasting impact that his signature guitar would have. Today, the JEM is an iconic instrument instantly associated with the legendary guitarist.
Specifically, this JEM77PBFP features the legendary Blue Floral Pattern finish, which is rarely available in the Ibanez catalog.
The electronics consist of a set of DiMarzio® Gravity Storm™ pickups with a DiMarzio® Evolution® in the middle position, a combination designed by Steve Vai himself to provide a rich and deep tonal voice.
Stability and dynamic response are entrusted to the Edge-Zero II Tremolo System. This system, designed by Ibanez, offers a quick and precise response to vibrato, allowing for bending and flutter techniques with absolute control. The Stud Lock feature ensures exceptional tuning stability, even after extensive use of the arm, making it a highly reliable instrument during long practice sessions or on stage.
