Gibson low-impedance mudbucker pickups, found on certain 1970s EB-series basses, are unique, low-output (roughly 1.1k-1.8k Ohms) versions of the famous high-output, 30k+ Ohms "mudbucker" sidewinder found in 1960s Gibson EB-0/EB-3 basses. These were designed to offer a brighter, clearer, and more modern tone to compete with Fender.
Works well but shows its age. A drop in replacement for lots of Gibson basses and a good alternative for a too Bassey over wound mudbucker.
