Vintage RARE 1956 Hofner 126 Club 50 Electric Guitar Pro Setup New Strings Original Hard Shell Case

A very cool, very RARE Made in Germany Guitar...
Its a 1956 Hofner Model 125 Club 50 with the original case. The guitar is in excellent shape as the pics will show..
The guitar came to us needed a neck reset, pots were bad and the original tailpiece was broken...We had our Techs reset the non-truss rod neck to give this guitar a great easy playing angle. We also replaced the bad pots, caps, input jack and added the shown replacement Hofner Tailpiece. The tailpiece is a little different from the original. We suspect this is an early model. Hofner made these guitars in 1956 and 1957... No dates to determine which year this one is.
The single coil pickups sound great. No problems with them. They are controlled by each having a volume and tone controls as well as on off switches as shown. One of the tone controls lost its gold reflector top. We couldn't find a suitable replacement.
The guitar has the original tuners, nut, adjustable bridge and frets. The frets are still in great shape. A mostly original guitar with the replaced parts sent with the guitar. See pic 15..
The guitar only weights 4 lbs 6 ozs... the guitar has a 24 1/2 inch scale neck and the nut measures 1 3/4 inches. The three piece Maple neck has a D profile that feels great in the hand. The body is Spruce on the top and beautiful Maple for the back and sides. Pretty Celluoid bindings, headstock overlay, Pickguard and neck block inlay... What a beauty!
A guitar that any Hofner player would love to have. This one plays and sounds great. We have it set up with a set of 9 gauge strings. A pleasure to play!
Comes the the original Hard Shell Case. All latches and hinges are with it and working properly. We replaced the missing handle and it looks great on this case. The case even still has the accessory box. The width of the case is slightly wider than the guitar but the length is correct and we were assured by the original owner that this is in fact the case they got with the guitar back in the 1950's. What a great historic guitar setup this will be for you!
