The YDP-145 features a piano voice sampled from the Yamaha CFX concert grand – a renowned instrument that delivers sparkling highs and powerful, resonant lows combined in a superbly expressive sound.

AUTHENTIC ACOUSTIC PIANO PLAYABILITY AND DAMPER PEDAL CONTROL

With an 88-key piano action, the Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard replicates the feel of an acoustic piano, from a naturally heavy touch in the bass to a lighter touch in the upper octaves. The GHS keyboard offers a grand piano-like response and feel, allowing for rapid note repetition and authentic expressive control. Furthermore, the half-damper function faithfully reproduces the damper action of a grand piano, providing rich expressive variation.

GRAND PIANO-LIKE HARMONIC RESONANCE - VIRTUAL RESONANCE MODELING LITE (VRM LITE)

One of the appeals of the grand piano is the sympathetic resonance created by the vibration of the entire instrument. The YDP-145 meticulously reproduces this rich sympathetic resonance thanks to a revolutionary technology called Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite). VRM Lite creates a richly varied sound by simulating the complex sympathetic tones produced when string vibrations travel to the soundboard and other strings, corresponding to the timing and intensity of key and pedal input.

RICH, POWERFUL SOUND PROVIDED BY THE TONAL ESCAPE CONSTRUCTION

The YDP-145 utilizes a new tone escapement design at the rear of the cabinet that directs sound from within the piano. This allows you to experience the natural resonance and three-dimensional resonance of an acoustic piano.

LARGE VARIETY OF BUILT-IN SONGS AND INTUITIVE OPERATION THANKS TO THE SMART PIANIST APP.

Naturally, the YDP-145 features an authentic grand piano sound, but it also offers several other built-in instrument sounds, for a total of 10 voices, including an electric piano, organ, vibraphone, and strings.

The YDP-145 also has 353 built-in songs, including 50 famous classical pieces, and 303 complete practice exercises from renowned methods such as Beyer, Burgmüller, Czerny, and Hanon. The instrument is also compatible with Yamaha's free Smart Pianist app: simply download the app to your smart device and connect it to the instrument*.

With the Smart Pianist app, you can easily use the instrument's various voice functions and access sheet music for the built-in songs. It also features a comprehensive Piano Room function that allows you to adjust the tonal quality and resonance settings of the piano sound.
