Overview: I've seen a lot of original, wider-body T5 models come through the shop year to year but I've started seeing more T5z models recently. This one's here on consignment and arrived in great shape -- I just needed to wipe it down and set it up. The video clip is perhaps not the best presentation of this guitar as I was playing through a simple old tube amp and so the mids were bumped a bit. I think these sound best, perhaps, through something nice and very clean like a Roland JC where you can get the chime of the "acoustic" blended sounds to shine.

Per the usual Taylor thing, the fit, finish, and build quality is up there. It's lightweight, the neck is comfy and quick, the body shape feels good in the lap, and the satin finish over the mahogany gives it an understated and modern look. The preamps on these give you a very wide range of sounds, too.

Repairs included: I gave it a quick setup and adjustments and it's playing spot-on and ready to serve.

Condition notes: This one is all-original and pretty darn clean. It has just a little playwear where a pickguard on an acoustic might be and a few tiny scratches/scuffs near the endpin/strap button area. The frets show only the tiniest wear and didn't need to be leveled and dressed. There is a tiny bit of rubbing to the headstock's edges, too.
