This started as a new Squier baritone loaded body that I purchased at 'The Stratosphere', with the idea of making a double-bound Black Tele at the traditional 25.5" scale. I did a bunch of research, and found that the only difference between a baritone and a standard Tele is the neck- the bodies and bridge location are the same for both. I ordered an Allparts 25.5" scale TMO-V soft V maple neck, and checked for fit & scale length- it's perfect, and intonates like it should. So I finished the neck in amber nitro lacquer, and added Fender vintage style tuners and a TUSQ XL nut. I also added Wilkinson compensated brass saddles.
I later swapped the Tele neck pickup for an Artec vintage Alnico 2 mini humbucker, keeping the Squier Alnico 5 bridge pickup.; it's a nice sounding pair. An 'ashtray' bridge cover is included.
Will be well packed & insured. Also listed in the Portland OR area.
Edit 3-4-'26: Added photo of controls upgrade. Art of Tone CTS pots, Oak Grigsby switch, Orange Drop cap, 470K ohm resistor to balance pickup outputs.
