For sale: a beautiful Boss CS-1 Compression Sustainer, Made in Japan – black label version, in excellent cosmetic and working condition.
The pedal is 100% fully functional. All knobs turn smoothly, the footswitch works perfectly, and the unit delivers the smooth, musical compression that made early Boss compressors so sought-after.
The CS-1 offers warm, natural sustain and subtle leveling that works beautifully for clean tones, funk rhythm playing, country picking, and singing lead lines. It retains clarity while adding body and sustain without sounding overly squashed.
Power Supply (Please Read)
This is an early Boss pedal using the ACA power standard (12V).
There are two correct ways to power it:
- Use a dedicated 12V ACA power supply, or
- Run it in a daisy chain with other standard 9V Boss/PSA pedals. In this configuration, it will work properly with a regular 9V PSA power supply (common and well-known ACA “daisy chain trick”).
A great opportunity for collectors or players looking for an authentic vintage Japanese Boss compressor.
