Despite extensive examination, We have not yet been able to conclusively identify the exact model. This does not happen often, and the study is ongoing
Based on its construction, grille design, and materials, this microphone closely resembles models produced by UHER, Grundig, and Telefunken during the late 1950s to mid-1960s. In particular, the grille pattern and rectangular capsule housing share strong similarities with several GRUNDIG UHER microphones and Telefunken TD-series dynamic microphones from that era.
In the quest for knowledge, I am offering a €50 discount on this microphone to the first person who can identify this exact model with confidence and provide proof in the form of documentation, original catalog references, or clear photographs showing that model exactly.
Regardless of its identity, what matters most is the sound—
and this microphone delivers beautifully. It is remarkably open, sensitive, and articulate, with a depth and ease that rivals many fully identified and highly regarded vintage models.
This microphone has been professionally converted to XLR for seamless integration with modern equipment.
OPTICAL CONDITION
Good used condition with visible signs of age and normal wear. The plastic housing shows surface marks, light discoloration, and general aging. The grille is intact and stable, with visible adhesive residue likely from factory assembly or an old repair.
TECHNICAL CONDITION
Fully functional and tested.
BUILD & DESIGN
This microphone features a robust rectangular body made from molded plastic with a metal front grille. The proportions and minimalistic geometry are characteristic of German microphones from the late 1950s and 1960s, designed for speech, broadcast, and studio applications.
The capsule is dynamic , based on its physical structure and sonic behavior. Its high sensitivity and open sound suggest careful diaphragm and acoustic chamber design.
The microphone operates as a passive dynamic system and does not require external power.

SOUND CHARACTERISTICS
This microphone delivers a remarkably open and articulate sound. The midrange is clear and natural, with excellent intelligibility and presence. High frequencies remain smooth and extended without harshness, while the low end provides enough body to maintain a full and balanced tone.
Its dynamic handling is particularly impressive, maintaining clarity across quiet and louder sources without collapsing or distorting. This makes it well suited for:
- Acoustic instruments
- Room capture
- Vintage-character recording
It offers a refined and musical sound signature that rivals many better-known microphones from the same period.
FREQUENCY RESPONSE (ESTIMATED)
Estimated Frequency Response:
