Guitarists have long preferred the sound and feel of 12" speakers, and now Red Sound is proud to introduce the BM.12 PRO — a 12" FRFR powered speaker cabinet backed by our most powerful FRFR amplifier to date. Expanding from the well-known 8" and 10" models, the BM.12 PRO delivers impressive full-range, flat response performance with the added depth, power, and punch that 12" speakers are known for. Whether you're playing live or in the studio, this speaker offers unparalleled clarity and dynamic response, providing a truly authentic amp-like experience.

The BM.12 is the first cabinet in the world that can be used in active mode via the integrated Red Sound power amp, or in passive mode using an external power amplifier. The BM.12 PRO is a perfect match for use with capturing and modelling products such as Quad Cortex, Axe-Fx, Helix, and any other 3rd party modelling systems, keyboards, and more.

By setting the switch to “Active Cabinet”, the BM.12 functions like a standard active cabinet, enabling all signal inputs and outputs. You can connect an active instrument directly, an analog pedalboard, or a digital system.

By setting the switch to “Passive Cabinet”, the BM.12 operates as a traditional passive cabinet, meaning only the JACK power input labeled “from power head output to RS speaker 400 W 8 Ω” is active. The ON-OFF button on the BM.12 is independent of the “Passive Cabinet” mode; while it is recommended to switch it OFF, it is not strictly necessary. Tube amplifiers are not allowed in this mode, but all other types of power amplifiers are permitted.

You can switch between modes at any time, even while the Red Sound module is active.

The BM.12 offers exceptional frequency range definition that covers all instruments — specifically synths, keyboards, guitar, bass, and acoustic guitar — allowing musicians to perceive even the finest details.

PRE-OUT SIGNAL OUTPUT

1x Jack/XLR Balanced with dedicated gain (independent from the cabinet’s master volume). This output allows you to send the desired amount of signal to a mixing console or an audio interface for live session recording. The output signal is tapped just before the amplification stage.

ACTIVE / PASSIVE MODE

The BM.12 is the first cabinet in the world that can be used in active mode via the integrated Red Sound power amp, or in passive mode using an external power amplifier.
