The original "ORANGE SQUEEZER," born in London, England in 1973, was manufactured and sold by Musitronics in the United States!
This small orange box, quite compact for its time and packed with groundbreaking ideas, was beloved by many fusion guitarists, including Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, and Masayoshi Takanaka, and became a huge hit. Today, it's a rare find. It's considered a classic compressor, along with the MXR Dyna Comp and ROSS Compressor. While the Dyna Comp is primarily known for its crisp sound, this compressor offers a gentler, more mellow attack. Its distinctive, supple sustain is particularly noteworthy, and two internal trims allow for adjustment of compression and output level.
Era: 1970s
Accessories: None
