This is a NOS non-relic version of my Gibson Burst upgrade set in light cream with gold lettering
A must have for any upgrade of a Gibson Custom Shop R7 R8 R9 or any Gibson guitar you want to look a little more vintage
This great vintage correct poker chip is paired up with an authentic Bakelite switch tip and a vintage heavy knurled aged nickel switch nut.
These poker chips can be aged to your specifications and are also available in vintage parchment or black. Just message us!
For those that are wondering: “Aren‘t Bakelite and Catalin different?” Yes and no and it depends who you ask. These tips are Catalin. You can tell because they are polished and colorful. Catalin and Bakelite are both Phenolic resins. The difference is the fillers added to Bakelite to make it tougher for utilitarian purposes. I’ve found that many people in the vintage guitar community use them interchangeably, so I use both terms.
