2x Höf - Audio HF-16 AUTOMIX Analog Summing with Fader automation

For sale are two Automix modules which each give 16 mono channels of analog automation. The units can also be configured allowing a control signal to manipulate more than one channel with e.g. a preset mode to configure the units in stereo pairs. So for example with 2 units you can automate 16 Stereo stems. Or automate 16 mono sources and 8 stereo bus.

There are default MIDI settings but these can also be configured using MIDI program change messages.

The audio is absolutely pristine and noise free, the internal electronics and computer take care of smoothing the gain changes, so there is no stepping and plenty of resolution for mixing. Build quality is extremely high.

Additional features: Mute automation via MIDI notes. Each unit also has sum outputs allowing each 16 channels to be mixed down to 4, or e.g. 8 stereo pair to 2 pairs. Which could be useful e.g. for fx returns, guitar mixes, or vocal groups to free up channels on your main mixer.

A printed manual is included in the German language.

I acquired these units for an unrealised project and they have been in storage for a long time. I've given them a quick test and everything seems to be working as expected. They are ideal for anyone that wishes to have mix automation while remaining in the analog domain and working with e.g. a vintage mixer. You can assign faders from you MIDI/DAW controller and map them to the audio channels and record the control information in your DAW where it could also be edited etc.. You will obviously need some technical skill to set things up.
