1968 Manuel López Bellido Flamenco Guitar – Granada, Spain
For sale is a rare 1968 Manuel López Bellido flamenco guitar, handcrafted in Granada, Spain. I am the second owner; the guitar was given to me by a childhood friend. This instrument is a wonderful example of Bellido’s early work and features classic flamenco construction: a solid spruce top, cypress back and sides, and a traditional Spanish heel.
The guitar is in good condition for its age and has been well cared for. There are minor cracks in the back that have been professionally repaired and are stable. The tuning keys have been recently replaced and function smoothly. The golpeador (flamenco tap plate/pick guard) has also been replaced recently and is in excellent shape. As is common with vintage flamenco guitars, there is visible wear around the sound hole and some minor scratches on the body, all of which are shown in the photos.
Includes the original label inside the sound hole, confirming its provenance and year of construction. This is a great opportunity to own a piece of Spanish guitar-making history, perfect for collectors or players seeking authentic vintage flamenco tone.
Please review all photos for details on condition. Feel free to reach out with any questions or for additional pictures.
