Vintage 1950's Shure Brothers S36 microphone desk stand blue 55 55S 737A 708A # 7

 You are looking at a older 1950's era Shure Brothers S-36 model microphone desk stand that will compliment most any older screw on type pre-1960 Shure mic you have as well as most mic clips.

 Pic # 2 shows a 1945 Shure catalog with this particular stand.

 The S-36 model was the most common desk stand sold by Shure from the late 1930's to 1960 and could be used with almost all Shure model microphones utilizing the lower pistol grip. The S-36 is a lite weight design with a low center of gravity and a classic deco look that really compliments any Shure mic you mount on top.

 The S-36 was an all aluminum body being virtually corrosion proof and comes with a new High Seas Blue painted finish. It's like a cross between Turquoise and Baby Blue. A very pretty color actually. If you have a Shure 55, 55S, 730A, 708A, or 737A (and several others) then this stand will seat perfectly to your mic and will provide a beautiful, stable platform in which to use or display. This will NOT seat a 1961 and newer Shure microphone properly as the post 1960 Shure mics have a redesigned lower pistol grip that won't fit properly. I got negative feedback from a very difficult client who insisted that they do but they do not. He left me negative feedback because I cancelled his order. I actually did him a favor and that's what you get for doing the right thing. Crazy I know. Please do not buy this if you have a post 1960 Shure microphone. Thank you.

 Because this stand has the Evanston label it was actually made sometime between 1956 and 1960. The Chicago label stands were made between 1939 and 1956.

 The original brass mic bolt, front push to talk mechanism, cable clamp and 5 new felt pads are all present and in great condition. The push to talk mechanism is not wired currently but can be if you need to do so.

 This particular S-36 stand has virtually no wear as seen in the pics provided. No dents, scratches or corrosion. Just very lite wear on the underside of the base. I'd rate the true condition a 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10. 

 This S-36 is appx 3 inches tall X 5 inches wide X 7 inches deep.

 A Shure 55 "Fatboy" or 55S model mic will look amazing on this S-36 model stand.
