A rare and very pretty 1934 Ernst Oskar Reichel classical guitar. It is an all solid guitar, spruce front, rosewood (palisander) back and sides. The back seems to be out of one piece even. The guitar was built by one of the Reichel family members, famous instrument builder in Markneukirchen, Germany. Their fame comes from their violins but as it turns out they also made nice guitars :).
The guitar has one dent which is repaired by a luthier. On the left side there is a small crack, see photos. The spruce is of beautiful color and pattern, the rosewood is obviously pre-CITES. Tone is good, warm and mellow.
The fingerboard is 'floating'.
This is a unique specimen, in a condition which is remarkable for the age. An old yet youthful gems.
Scale is 625, nut width is +-50 mm, at 12th fret +-60mm
