The ’45’ style model refers to the fanciest ornamentation first introduced in 1933. Built with all premium figured Hawaiian Koa top, back and sides with stunning flame figure and contrasting color fully trimmed with upgraded 45-style select Paua Pearl on every edge- top, back, sides, rosette, along the neck heel and the tail wedge and features a vintage flowerpot headstock inlay. We requested the Paua Pearl hexagon fretboard inlays with Koa surround to match- a new take on a classic look and the first ever for Huss & Dalton. This D-45 traditional flat top all Koa build is set off by the full Bloodwood bindings on the body, neck and headstock that accentuates the colorful Paua Pearl throughout and the Gold Waverly engraved tuners just top it off. Adirondack Spruce scalloped bracing and Hide Glue construction under the hood drive this full power Koa D-45.
