70s 3ply Maple shells are among the coolest sounding vintage drums – with more subtle musical tones than thicker shells and getting more and more collectible & valuable every year.

They usually have a clear lacquer finish over the Maple interiors and sing beautifully and fully, with a long decay, which can be easily muffled or shortened.

There were many drum legends in the past who made Slingerland famous for its quality and sound.

And many famous drummers in the 60s and 70s who used Slingerland kits with great musical success on legendary recordings.
