Vintage 1968 Winston Model 1934 3/4 Size Parlor Japan Acoustic Guitar Pro Setup New Strings Gigbag

A Vintage and RARE 1968 Made in Japan Winston made by Kawai Model 1934 3/4 Parlor Acoustic Guitar.. We have had many Winston Electric Guitars here in the past but this is the first Acoustic. Very cool!

We found this guitar in the Winston 1968 Catalog. They may have been made earlier of even later but we can identify it as at least a 1968 from the Catalog. Winston Guitars were Proudly made in Japan by Kawai. Kawai produced many guitars for export to the USA under many different names. Names such as Apollo, Decca, Heit, Ibanez, Kingston, Noble, Norman, Truetone and Zim-Gar... Great manufacturer. We have had dozens of Kawai built guitars here in the shop.

This guitar was very distressed when we got it. Fortunately, it was just neglect and not at all damaged. We cleaned it up and added some new strings. Adjusted the bridge to make it intonate and tune properly. You can see the bridge was not in the proper placement for its entire life. LOL...See pic 3. We moved it and lowered it a little to make the guitar play very nicely. Is it Strat low action? No! But it plays and tunes better than when it is was new. A Pleasure to play now.

The guitar has a smaller 3/4 inch size. It measures 11 1/2 inches at the lower bout and measures 33 inches long. It has a 21 3/4 inch scale neck and the nut measures 1 5/8 inches. A perfect size for a young student of certainly for smaller hands. If you had one of these back in the 1960's, you will be pleasantly suprised at how well it plays and sounds!

There are dings and scratches. Only superficial but I wanted to point them out. No suprises here. Check those pics.This guitar looks great but its not perfect..superficial dings and scratches as you can see in the pics.....the original pickguard has a crack on the treble side by the pickup... the original frets are still in great if not unplayed shape.....it sounds great and its all original.....

Ships in the shown older gigbag that fits it great. Both zippers work as they should and it fits the guitar securely!

It is sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used..thanks for respecting that.
