The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '62 Stratocaster relic is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The Alder body is finished in an awesome Aged Aztec Gold relic nitro finish. Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
The rift sawn medium tint Maple neck has a smooth finish and a AAA-grade sort for dark Rosewood fingerboard. The '62 Custom Shop Stratocaster also features a '60 Style Oval "C" neck shape, a 9.5" fingerboard radius, 21 6105 frets and a 1.650" Nut Width. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced. With the inclusion of Closet Classic hardware you can expect great stability and intonation.
With a trio of handwound Fender 60/63 Strat pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone.
