This is an extreme rare Korg ESX-1 (SD Card Version) electribe sampler / drum machine. The tubes have been swapped out for world class preamp tubes (telefunken replicas made by the same machines and in the same factory. Those tubes are also no longer made and extremely rare!! This effectively turns the ESX-1 into a world class tube pre-amp/ tube coloration sound processor. You can run any signal into the stereo audio inputs and use the tube gain knob as a wet dry knob to choose how much tube color you want to your liking. You can even see the coils of the tubes light up a little when you crank the tube gain. This is also the SD card version, the older versions smartmedia cards which are now both extremely expensive and rare with limited storage space. The SD card version allows you to store up to 32gb of samples and projects on your SD card!
