SERVICED AKAI GX-600DB DOLBY 4 track 10.5 inch reel to reel tape deck Recorder See Video!!

For sale is an AKAI GX-600DB 10.5 inch 4 track Reel to Reel tape deck recorder. It is in very Good condition as shown albeit with some scuffs, nicks and marks and wooden chips. Refer to pics. Wooden panels are in great shape! It has been serviced, cleaned, fully tested and the heads were cleaned and demagnetized for the best sound ever. The pots and switches were sprayed with WD 40 electronic component spray and the metal parts were lubed as well. Belts and caps were checked, they are good. Both channels work perfectly as well. The sound when recording at 3 3/4 IPS is clear and even better at 7 1/2 IPS. Video available upon request! A lot of time and money was put into servicing this deck so it will not go cheap! Please refer to pictures! If you’re looking for a specific function whether it’s pitch control or auto reverse and it’s not in the pictures then it’s not available on that deck. Hub adapters NOT INCLUDED !

The price is $999.99 FIRM. All of my tape decks are priced based on quality, the price of similar and comparable models and The amount of time, effort and money it takes to service, clean and rigorously test to ensure that they work like they’re supposed to when the buyer receives them. You may see other similar tape decks or decks just like this that are cheaper, but they are untested and may or may not even be functional at all and may need a lot of cleaning and servicing just to be brought up to usable condition. SHIPPING AND WARRANTY:

The shipping is $100 which ALSO includes secure packing and the weight of the deck accounts for the shipping cost. This item will be packed heavily so it arrives in one piece. Reverb Safe Shipping will also be added to protect both myself and the buyer in the event something should happen during shipment rendering the deck inoperable. DO NOT discard the packing material and box! Decks usually ship out the next business day; sometimes on the same day. Please note, once the item is shipped out, THE SELLER HAS NO CONTROL over how fast it arrives to the buyer.

Due to a number of false "item not as described" claims due to user error and A Pre shipment video DVD of each deck operating properly will be included. The buyer agrees to accept this as proof the deck left my place in working condition.

Due to the age and vintage nature of these electronics,  warranties are limited to a 7 day guarantee that it will arrive working as described in the listing (which starts the day the buyer receives the item) and if a problem should occur, I will assist in resolving it in any way possible. After the 7 day time period expires, the sale then becomes final.

If a buyer suspects a problem with their item after receiving it, I will help them out in any way that I can. Documentation may be requested for any issues that arise so I can determine the best way to resolve them. My selling record speaks for itself with many happy customers so Leaving 1-star ratings, making threats, rushing to judgment, or other abusive behavior, especially over issues that can just as easily be resolved just by communicating like civilized adults does NOT solve anything. It just creates a hostile trading environment and leads to tensions and negativity. Furthermore, it is a disruption to my workflow.

I have plenty of happy buyers who like their purchases and allowed me to resolve issues that came up so everybody was happy on both sides and those are the type of customers Id rather have.

RETURNS:

In any case a return is granted for any reason, The buyer agrees that I require up to 3 BUSINESS DAYS after the returned item is received to issue that refund — NO EXCEPTIONS! The shipping costs are NON REFUNDABLE.

All items returned for the following reasons will be subjected to a 15% restocking fee:

buyer changed their mind
buyer can't afford it
wife doesn't like it
it doesn't fit their style
buyer failed to read the listing before purchasing
item works as described but doesnt meet the buyer's expectations or they dont know how to use it
buyer states the item doesnt work as described, but after receiving the item back and testing it, it is determined that no fault was found with the item. In this case a new video will be filmed showing the item in proper working condition. This policy is necessary to make up for lost shop time. The seller will have the final discretion whether to accept such returns.  
These terms and conditions are absolutely necessary to ensure there is no room for any error or misunderstanding and to ensure fairness on both sides.

As stated, I have plenty of happy customers who liked what they had purchased from me and were always willing to work with me anytime an issue came up and they appreciated my assistance so we both walked away happy and those are the type of customers that I’d rather have.
