Dysphonia by Dreadbox is a full monophonic synthesizer voice for the Eurorack modular format. packed with tons of smart features in an affordable and compact format, Dysphonia is a perfect all-in-one for modular beginners or a utility-packed expansion for an existing modular rig. features include:
- audio oscillator with dual CV inputs, PW mod input and simultaneous square, saw and triangle outputs
- dedicated white noise generator
- 3 VCAs

- monophonic MIDI to CV/gate interface (includes 5-pin to TRS MIDI adapter)

- analog 4-pole (24dB/oct) LPF with self-oscillation at high resonance
- analog 2-pole (12db/oct) multi-mode filter with LP, BP and HP outputs
- classic PT2399 lo-fi echo with feedback and mix controls and CV over time
- powered via USB or standard Eurorack power cable
this build features both manufacturer-suggested modifications:
- the maximum delay time has been increased from 300ms to 1s (high delay times sound increasingly lo-fi)
- the USB power supply has been modified for use as a standard/general purpose low-current USB to Eurorack power supply (max draw 200mA +12V, 80mA -12V)
this Dysphonia was built by hand here at Teleos Modular using a full kit from Dreadbox's single limited run. the module is a brand new build but is listed as
B-stock due to minor imperfections in the panel finish as shown in the second pic.
the remaining unit has slightly worse marring in approximately the same spot in the panel. i will upload a current picture soon. the parts arrived in this condition and the issues are small enough that i have no intention of requesting a replacement from Dreadbox.
