Now here is a rare bird. This is a 1982 Gibson Firebird V Guitar Trader Reissue in very good condition. This is 1 of 15 instruments built in a limited run commission by Guitar Trader by way of Gibson and is one of the last guitars made in the Kalamazoo factory. These 15 guitars were built around original NOS Firebird hardware packages that were found in the plant making it a truly unique build.
A beautiful tribute that captures many aspects of an early-60s Firebird V, 100% original and playing like a dream with no fretwear to speak of. Overall weight 8 lbs, 14 oz for a surprisingly-balanced feel. Minor finish cracks/swirling and some hardware components that have aged (see pictures). Included is the original hardshell case.
