Vintage Gear America is pleased to offer this extremely rare and super clean circa 1920s-1930s full sized Violinett by Johannes Pugh, Altona (Germany) with original black case with maroon felt interior. Extremely clean well cared for unmolested example of an unusual 100-year-old instrument made to be played by placing the instrument facing up on top of a table so that one can manipulate the fretted strings with the left hand to change pitch while bowing with the right hand to determine volume and length of pitch. Two notes or strings can be played simultaneously making chords possible, violin bow not included. Expertly crafted from some of the finest European maple and spruce available at that time, real carved bone height adjustment legs, multi ply double bound body and an engraved silver peghead veneer. No modifications or repairs, no cracks, breaks or structural problems, all original no issue instrument, including original finish and parts.
