LEAN, MEAN HEAVY METAL MACHINE!

Here for sale is a great Japanese made Westone Spectrum GT bass that was made in Japan in the 1980s. There is not much to say, as this bass is a killer. Not a single issue or problem. The action is low and comfortable, and it plays like a dream. There are a lot of tonal controls, so you can get a good variance of tone out of it.

WARNING, you are entering the bass tone nerd zone: The only thing I will mention is the split "P-Style" pickup is more rounded and low end heavy than I expected, especially in the low register. I like my P-Style pickups to have a good punchy mid response to them, but this one sounds more like a J-bass pup -- More low mids and bass freq. This of course, is not damage or anything, just an observation. This bass doesn't do the "P-Bass with a pick" mid-heavy bass tone very well...so if that is what you are into, this might not be the bass for you. The bridge location pup sounds HUGE. It sounds a lot like a Stingray style humbucker. I really think this bass would thrive in Metal, Jazz or even country/pop, but it might not do punk rock or garage rock as well as it looks like it would.

As always, I cleaned it up, polished the finish, oiled the board, flushed the electronics, changed the strings and set the action as low as I could. This bass does not have gig bag or case, but I pack my guitars tight and insure every package for the full value of the purchase.

Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gearheads!
