Billy’s custom signature set using his preferred 43-110 gauges.
These strings, custom gauged by Billy Sheehan, provide the time tested, world famous, Rotosound Swing Bass set with two special advantages.
A slightly lighter ‘G’ (0.043″) this provides a more even string to string tension across the neck and makes bending easier.
A heavier ‘E’ string (0.110″) which again provides a more even string to string tension, eliminating string ‘flap’ or ‘rattle’ and makes for a tighter low end with increased mass for more volume in the lower register.
The (0.110″) gauge also facilitates tuning down to a low ‘D’ without the string bottoming out or loss of intonation.
These Billy Sheehan bass strings are manufactured from Stainless Steel wrap wire with hexagon cores.
