This guitar has some serious Randy Rhoadsvibes and looks fantastic. TOP series Greco Mint Collection. original tuners, Brazilian rosewood board, fret binding, real MOP inlays, long neck tenon joint, pick guard, factory installed kahler bridge and even a brass cap on a pickup switch.
Perfectly shaped small headstock volute setting the Greco guitars apart from many lesser "lawsuit" instruments. And while the Greco guitars were never subject to any actual legal action, they still are considered under the umbrella of what's commonly referred to as lawsuit instruments, due to their reverence and accuracy to their USA made counterparts.
The neck has a 50s-style carve, starting at a medium C at the nut with good shoulder and girth up the board. The intonation is solid and the guitar plays well in all registers with no buzzing or dead spots. The guitar conforms to traditional specifications with a 1 11/16" hand carved bone nut and 24 3/4" scale. The headstock has Greco's name and vaguely diamond pattern inlaid in pearl, with multi-ply headstock binding and gold Schaller-style tuning machines with the Greco "G" on each gear.
The original gold hardware shows moderate patina through the plating, but nothing out of the ordinary for a guitar of this vintage, especially where gold hardware is concerned. The finish is yellowed, guitar shows nicks and scuffs on the body, reliced at some places and has scars and tiny laquer cracks here and ther but nothing structurally, no cracks in wood, breaks or repairs of any kind
