The Fender Downtown Express is a brand new bass multi effect pedal, developed from the ground up by Fender. This is a really exciting pedal, combining useful effects and functions - compressor, overdrive with speaker emulation and 3-Band EQ - with a DI output, meaning you’re immediately set for performance or recording without any need to cart an amp around with you. What’s more, the chassis is built from solid anodised aluminium, and we really like the pedal’s design language, visually reflecting its tonal and build quality.

The Fender Downtown Express Bass Multi-Effects Pedal is now available from Merchant City Music - Glasgow’s longest established guitar specialist. Visit us in the shop, where a member of staff will be happy to talk you through its features and set you up for a demo. Alternatively, buy online for fast delivery to the UK, Europe and beyond.

Fender Downtown Express Bass Multi Effect Pedal

Your one-stop shop for bass tone-shaping, the Downtown Express bass multi-effect puts everything you need for killer bass tone right at your feet. All the bass essentials are there—compressor, 3-band EQ and overdrive—each switchable on its own, or you can use the Mute switch to kill the signal for silent tuning. The Direct Output makes it easy to integrate this pedal into any performance situation—stage or studio. In recognition of the fact that a truly powerful signal chain needs to be flexible, a switch that lets you reorder the compressor and overdrive circuits to taste is included.
