Among global High-End audiophiles and tube-rolling experts, the early 1973 Saratov-made 6N23P "Silver Shield" is a legendary open secret. Featuring a bright, matte silver/nickel-plated internal separator shield between the two triode sections, these tubes possess the exact same internal structural geometry, materials, and breathtaking sonic properties as the famous ultra-expensive 1975 6N23P-EV blocks. The 6N23P tube is a direct and premium drop-in replacement for international E88CC / 6922 / CCa / ECC88 / 6DJ8 tube families. They are heavily sought after as a major sound upgrade for high-end Hi-Fi tube preamplifiers, reference headphone amplifiers, and top-tier DACs (such as Audio Note, Audio Research, Cary Audio, and custom master builds). They are celebrated worldwide for delivering a spectacular holographic three-dimensional soundstage, a highly transparent liquid midrange, and crystal-clear high-frequency extension with incredible microphonic immunity.
