Ibanez 540S LTD 1989 - Desert Sun Yellow

Here is your chance to own a very rare Desert Sun Yellow Ibanez 540s LTD Saber made in Japan 1989 w/ Bensalem, PA neckplate. This year of production was during Ibanez "golden years".

It's in fantastic condition, excellent near mint, and has seen very little play time on it.

Stored in its case most of its life, this guitar has very little wear on it yet has a couple minor dings and very faint scratches. There is very minor pitting on the tuners and virtually no wear marks on the cosmo hardware. The original pickups have been changed out to Dimarzio Super Distortion in bridge and Dimarzio PAF Pro in neck. The middle pickup is the original IBZ/USA C2 but the cover was changed out for a standard Dimarzio pickup cover in black. It has a brand-new OEM YM-50 5-way pickup selector switch wired to factory specs. The #2 and #4 position of the switch are "split-coil" effectively grounding one of the dual-coils in each pickup to be single-coil pickups. The body is mahogany and combined with the Dimarzio pickups, this guitar sounds amazing.

The neck is fantastic, slim, no wear, frets are great and has a fully functional truss rod. The neck is straight and has no twisting or any notable issues other than a couple very small indentations on back of neck in between the 10th and 12th fret (see pic).

Currently set-up and intonated for E-flat tuning with light gauge strings, tremolo spring tension adjusted so that the tremolo floats level, and action height is to factory specs. The truss rod has been adjusted for factory spec neck relief. The playability of this guitar is superior.

Comes w/ aftermarket hardcase, whammy bar, and a brand new Dimarzio clip-lock strap in white.
