This is a beautiful sounding, super-playable Sigma acoustic manufactured in South Korea. Made between 1984 and 1994 (the Korean production run), these guitars were manufactured under the auspices of Martin Guitars (sometimes described as "Martin's offshore label.") This particular one is modeled after the Martin D-28. The nut by the low E string has been repaired with epoxy, there is scratching in the bridge around the high E peg (possibly from pliers, hard to see in the dark wood), and the headstock tells us it was a "QC Reject" (we think that this was a neck glue issue). However, the guitar is solidly built and sounds great!
