The 1960 Fender Champ is a vintage, low-wattage valve guitar amplifier renowned forits simplicity, warmtone and natural overdrive. Produced by Fender during the 50s and 60s, it is particularly sought after by blues, rock, country and recording guitarists for its rich harmonics, touch-sensitive response and distinctive vintage character.
The 1960 Champ is generally associated with the 5F1 tweed circuit, featuring a single-ended, single-endedoutput-stage design and a compact speaker cabinet. Despite its modest power output, it can deliver a surprisingly full, responsive sound, particularly when driven hard. Its straightforward controls and small size make it ideal for studio recording and home use.
This one is in great shape for its age with signs od use and wear throughout and some rusting to metal parts. It is on 110V power so needs a step up transformer to run on UK power. We have one at our showroom if you're planning a visit to test it out.
