ESP LTD JRV-8FR Javier Reyes Guitar in Metallic Gold

The JRV-8FR delivers a thin, flat neck contour that rewards speed and comfort across its extended 8-string range, making fast runs and complex voicings feel natural under the hands. Designed in collaboration with Javier Reyes of Animals as Leaders and Mestis, this baritone platform balances responsiveness with tuning stability through its bolt-on alder body and reinforced maple/walnut construction. The striking Metallic Gold finish with matching hardware makes a visual statement that matches its technical capabilities.

Playability & Construction

The bolt-on neck paired with an alder body creates a bright, responsive platform ideal for percussive articulation and sustained tones across the 27-inch baritone scale. A thin-flat neck contour, 500mm fingerboard radius, and maple fingerboard with double-bar abalone inlays accommodate fast position shifts and open chord voicings, while 22 extra-jumbo frets enable aggressive bending and smooth technical passages.

Tone & Electronics

The Fishman Fluence Signature Series 8-String Javier Reyes pickup set features a Classic Open Core bridge pickup with three switchable voices plus dual Single Width pickups in the middle and neck positions, delivering tonal range from thick, growling lows to searing lead clarity and transparent single-coil character. The H/S/S configuration paired with one volume control, two tone knobs, and a 5-way switch provides intuitive access to versatile tonal options across any tuning or musical approach.
