New. Because it is unlacquered, the surface color will darken over time and change to a matte, non-glossy appearance. The actual item may differ from the photos.

[Features]
The SOLO uses a 140mm medium-large tapered bell, combining a copper bell stem with a phosphor bronze flare. Soft and creamy at low volume - at times as sweet as a cornet - it changes dramatically into a bright, vivid sound as you put more air in. This wide range, beyond just depth and warmth, is the SOLO's great appeal.

In the latest specification the SOLO and SOLO MAX weigh nearly the same; the difference lies in the bell size (140mm for SOLO vs. 145mm for SOLO MAX) and separately designed details such as the leadpipe taper. Where the SOLO MAX fills the room with a bigger, fatter, richer sound, the SOLO is more focused and lets you switch tone colors quickly and move freely - warm and enveloping in ballads and chamber music, fat and glossy for jazz solos, and depending on setup, capable of lead and commercial work. A deep cup with bronze components leans sweet and rich, while a brighter mouthpiece or the nickel silver tuning slide brings more definition and brilliance.

The three tuning slides (yellow brass, phosphor bronze, nickel silver) let you further fine-tune feel and tone. For players who don't need the SOLO MAX's sheer scale but want depth, sweetness, and soloist presence beyond a typical trumpet, the SOLO hits that sweet spot - the LOTUS model with perhaps the widest tonal range.
