Up for sale from Dalen's Gear Locker is an absolute powerhouse of a bluegrass machine: the highly coveted Billy Strings D-28 (2025 Model).

The wood and structural integrity of this guitar are in pristine condition with zero cracks, zero modifications, and perfect neck alignment. To maintain absolute transparency and protect my 5-star rating, I am listing this in "Excellent" condition rather than "Mint" due to the following two cosmetic details:

1. PICKGUARD: Light, standard pick swirl marks on the pickguard from careful home play.

2. CENTER SEAM: There is a very slight, barely noticeable feeling of raised finish right along the center seam behind the bridge where the soundboard meets. The wood is 100% stable with NO cracks or separation—it is perfectly level visually, but you can feel a slight lacquer ridge if you run your finger intensely over it. This is purely cosmetic and likely due to the guitar transitioning climates. (My standard HD-28 doesn't have this, so I want to note it for a perfectionist collector).

It has been meticulously cared for in a smoke-free, climate-controlled environment. Featuring a premium solid Sitka Spruce top and solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, this custom dreadnought delivers explosive projection and rich, deep low-end rumble. Plays effortlessly. Action is currently set up low, fast, and comfortable for my personal playing style. However, please note that acoustic guitars naturally shift during air transit across climates. All buyers should expect to tweak the setup or adjust the truss rod to match their personal string-height preferences upon arrival.

CASE NOTES: Complete with its original deluxe Martin hard shell case. Please note that the small interior ribbon strap connecting the top half to the bottom half of the case has come loose (arrived this way from the shop). The exterior latches, handle, and structural shell of the case are 100% perfect, secure, and fully protective.
