Fender California Series Telecaster – Fiesta Red – 1997/98
Selling my Fender California Series Telecaster in Fiesta Red, dating from the 1997–98 California Series production run. Serial number AMXN714902.
The California Series was an unusual Fender production run, with manufacturing split between Fender's California and Ensenada facilities. This model features an alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, 21 frets, traditional Telecaster bridge pickup and Strat-style single-coil neck pickup.
The guitar is in good used condition for its age and has genuine signs of playing wear. There are three areas of finish chipping where the wood is visible, along with a scratch near the bridge and some other light surface marks/age-related wear. The hardware also shows some tarnishing consistent with its age. I've included clear photographs of the cosmetic damage so the condition can be seen properly.
The finish has been left as it is, with no attempt made to touch up or conceal the chips.
A lovely, increasingly uncommon California Series Telecaster that's approaching 30 years old and has plenty of character.
