1979 Gibson Les Paul 25/50 Anniversary – Ebony
A superb example of Gibson’s special 25/50 Anniversary Les Paul, produced to commemorate 25 years of the Les Paul guitar and 50 years of Les Paul’s career.
This example dates to 1979, with Gibson serial number 70599099 and anniversary production number 2596. Finished in Ebony, it has the distinctive high-spec appointments that make the 25/50 model particularly collectible, including the ornate anniversary headstock inlay, ebony fingerboard with split-block inlays, multi-ply binding, gold/silver hardware combination, coil-tap switching and TP-6 fine-tuning tailpiece.
The guitar is fully working and in excellent overall condition for its age. There may be minor signs of age and handling consistent with a vintage instrument, so please study the photographs carefully for the exact cosmetic condition.
