A bonafide, reliable, great sounding vintage p-bass originally bought at Rivington Guitars in NY ($900). Received a set-up at Southside Guitars ($150), and everything checked out. Installed a Fralin 5% overwound pickup ($100). Original pickup included. The black pickup covers are originals.
These basses have great reputations for a reason, as Andy Irvine says in his video (see pics). These things are extremely well made and feel and sound like it. Quality, dried out wood from back then, and played in. The sound is mellow, beefy, especially with the LaBella Deep Talk' flats on it now. This things cuts well above its weight, competes with much higher end instruments., as Irvine says.
Only selling because I never play four strings anymore and have a 5-string p-bass with flats.
