Offered for sale is a beautiful 1965 Martin 00-16C, serial number 203495.

This is a particularly special example because it was purchased new by my father in 1965 and has remained in our family ever since. To the best of my knowledge, the guitar has never been repaired, refinished, or structurally modified.

The guitar retains its original finish and original components, including the bridge, tuners, neck, fingerboard, and internal construction. It has no known cracks, and the fretboard shows very little wear for a guitar of this age. The guitar is currently in excellent working and playing condition.

• Important note regarding the pickguards: The large white pickguards currently on the guitar are not original to the instrument. They were added during its lifetime. Importantly, no holes were drilled and no original pickguard was removed in their installation. I have deliberately left them in place rather than risk damaging the original 1965 finish by attempting removal.

The guitar does not include its original Martin case. It will be carefully packed and shipped in an appropriate protective case/packaging.

This is a vintage instrument being sold based on its age and condition, and I have provided photographs showing the guitar, neck block, serial number, tuners, bridge, back, sides, and finish. I have determined the year of the instrument through cross-referencing the serial number with the Martin guitar website. However, I am not an expert on early classical guitars and I encourage any serious buyer to double check the serial number to authenticate the year model yourself.
