The PRS SE Custom 24 in Quilt Charcoal Cherry Burst takes PRS's original Custom 24 shape and dresses it up with matching quilted maple top and headstock veneers — a step up in visual flash without leaving the SE Series' accessible price point. The mahogany body carries an ivoroid-bound quilt top under a high-gloss finish, and it weighs 7.7 lbs. — light enough for long sets, solid enough to feel substantial in hand.
The maple neck uses PRS's Wide Thin shape (13/16" at the 1/2 fret, 57/64" at the 12 1/2 fret), a fast, low-profile carve built for speed, set-neck construction for extra sustain and easy access to all 24 frets. The rosewood fretboard has ivoroid binding and PRS's signature bird inlays, a 10" radius, a 25" scale length, and a 1 11/16" PRS nut. Hardware is PRS through and through — a patented tremolo bridge and PRS-designed tuners, both in nickel/chrome — smooth vibrato feel with tuning stability you can count on night after night.
Electronics are a matched pair of PRS 85/15 "S" pickups, wired to a single volume and tone control with a 3-way toggle selector, plus two mini toggle switches for independent coil-splitting on each pickup — meaning you can run full humbucker output, single-coil clarity, or mix and match between the two pickups for tones a standard 3-way switch can't reach.
