Singer-songwriter and producer Kimbra recently launched an Official Kimbra Reverb Shop a few weeks ago, passing a bunch of the gear that she's used for touring and recording onto another generation of musicians.
But, of course, Kimbra didn't part with all of her music-making tools... So we wanted to take a peek at some of the things that she kept. Check out the video above to watch Kimbra talk through the gear that she still turns to first when she's writing, fleshing out ideas, or recording.
Some of the highlights include: a TC Helicon Perform-VE—the limitations of which help Kimbra dial-in her focus in the studio, a Critter & Guitari Septavox that Kimbra uses as a MIDI controller for the sampled stutters of her voice, and the DSI Sequential Circuits Prophet-6 with its excellent mix of analog sounds and cinematic effects.
Click any of the product links above to look at those instruments right here on Reverb and pick one up for yourself. And be sure to check out what's left as well as what you missed out in Kimbra's Official Reverb Shop here.
