The Gibson ES330 is not the smaller or cheaper sibling of the ES335, but was intended as the replacement for the ES225T. Unlike the ES225, it features a double cutaway hollow body made of laminated maple. The mahogany neck of this long-neck version meets the body at the 19th fret and features a rosewood fingerboard with block legs. While the 330 sounds quite lively acoustically, it truly comes to life when you plug it in.

The official model name of this ES330 already sums up the guitar briefly; the addition of TD stands for Thinline Dual pickup, distinguishing this model from the versions with a single pickup and Natural or Cherry finish. The two original P90s feature a chrome cover as introduced in 1965, giving the guitar its distinctive sound that makes it so beloved. The polepieces of the neck pickup have been reversed so that they sit slightly lower, bringing the pickup into better balance relative to the bridge pickup.

In addition to the original hardware—the bridge, the tailpiece, and the Kluson Double Line tuners adorning the back of the headstock—the electronics are also original. Furthermore, the original pickguard with a faded Gibson logo is present. This logo was only applied to the pickguard in 1968 and early 1969. The guitar has, however, been refretted.

The guitar has accumulated some signs of wear and crackle here and there over the years, but looks exceptionally good for its advanced age. This is one that vintage guitar enthusiasts will feast on!
